Import Wallet
Import an existing wallet using your recovery phrase, private key, or Ledger device.
Import Methods
Cave supports three ways to import a wallet:

Recovery Phrase Import
Step 1: Open Cave Wallet
Click the Cave icon and select "Import Existing Wallet".
Step 2: Enter Recovery Phrase
Enter your 12 or 24 word phrase:

- Separate each word with a space
- Ensure correct spelling
- Words are case-sensitive (usually lowercase)
Step 3: Set Password
Create a new password for this device.
Step 4: Complete
Your wallet is now imported with all accounts.
Private Key Import
Advanced Feature
Only use this if you know what you're doing. Recovery phrase is recommended.
Step 1: Go to Settings
Open Cave → Settings → Import Account
Step 2: Select "Private Key"
Choose private key import method.
Step 3: Enter Private Key
Paste your private key (hex format):
0x1234567890abcdef...Step 4: Name Your Account
Give this account a recognizable name.

Troubleshooting
"Invalid Recovery Phrase"
- Check spelling of each word
- Ensure correct order
- Verify word count (12 or 24)
- Check for extra spaces
"Account Not Found"
- The phrase might be from a different network
- Try different derivation paths in settings
Missing Funds After Import
- Add tokens manually if needed
- Check you're on the correct network
- Verify the wallet address matches expected

Never Share
- Never share your recovery phrase
- Never share your private key
- No legitimate service will ask for these
